A vehicle having a multi-point inspection is the equivalent of a human going to the doctor to get a regular checkup. Health checkups are important for people because just because a person is feeling fine, doesn't necessarily mean that their health is okay. This same rule applies to vehicles as well. When you have an experienced technician give your car a multi-point inspection, you are able to find problems within your vehicle that you may have otherwise not known were there.
