Ford Intelligent Backup Power

Security and peace of mind are invaluable during severe weather and unpredictable events. That’s why Ford helps ensure you never have to worry about being left in the dark. The all-electric F-150 Lightning features available Ford Intelligent Backup Power that can provide full-home power for up to three days on a fully charged battery, or as long as 10 days if rationing power.* Combined with the available 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro, it’s an essential technology that you can count on when you need it most.

Enhanced Pro Power Onboard

Turn your truck into a generator. Pro Power Onboard offers an available 9.6 kW of max power provided through 11 outlets. No matter the job, the 9.6 kW version offers four 120V outlets in the front trunk, two in the cab, and four in the bed. The bed also features a 240V outlet for the tougher tasks at hand.*

Bluecruise

Available BlueCruise is an advanced feature that uses a driver-facing camera and radar-sensing technologies allowing for hands-free driving on prequalified sections of divided highways called Hands-free Blue Zones that make up more than 100,000 miles of North American roads.*

*Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle. BlueCruise is a hands-free highway driving feature. Only remove hands from the steering wheel when in a Hands-Free Blue Zone. Always watch the road and be prepared to resume control of the vehicle. It does not replace safe driving. Power My Trip

Power My Trip allows the ability to plan trips in the vehicle’s SYNC screen, with voice commands or outside the vehicle in the FordPass App.

It considers the current charge level and integrates convenient charging locations into your route. It customizes your driving experience by taking into account your truck’s towing and payload status before you get behind the wheel. It also offers the ability to map favorite routes, find charge stations, and more.

Phone as a Key

With the available Phone As A Key feature you can access and start your F-150 Lightning without having to take your phone out of your pocket or use a physical key fob. You can even connect up to four profiles through the FordPass™ App, so your whole household has access.*

Intelligent Range

With Intelligent Range, your truck learns how much energy it uses in various conditions. It accurately calculates range while factoring in the weather, traffic, grade, payload, towing weights and more. If future conditions, such as driving in the mountains or towing your boat are predicted, estimated range is updated and you’re informed.

Be prepared for what nature throws at you with the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning. Available Ford Intelligent Backup Power, enabled by the 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro, allows you to use your truck as a backup power source to your home during a power outage.* The power transfer can be triggered automatically or manually based on customer preference.

Truck Charges

You get home and plug in your truck with the available 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro. The F-150 Lightning charges using power from the grid.

Grid Goes Down

But what happens when the power gets knocked out by a storm? No problem. The Ford F-150 Lightning is there to help. You can set Ford Intelligent Backup Power to automatically or manually kick in and power your home just like a generator. *

F-150 Lightning Goes to Work

With the ability to off-board up to 9.6 kW of peak energy, F-150 Lightning can provide full-home power for up to three days, or as long as ten days if power is rationed.*

Targeted EPA-Estimated 300-mile Range

The Ford F-150 Lightning comes with a standard-range battery that offers a targeted EPA-estimated range of 230 miles. * Or choose the available extended-range battery that offers a targeted EPA-estimated range of 300 miles.*

Backed by the largest public charging network in North America,* we are offering an ecosystem of charging solutions to meet all your charging needs. Whether you’re on the job, on the road or at home, we have you covered. The extended-range battery comes standard with the 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro. This allows a peak charging power of 19.2 kW enabled by the battery’s dual onboard chargers which means a full charge overnight.* Like all Ford electric vehicles, every series comes with the 32-amp Ford Mobile Charger which allows you to charge from a traditional 120V or 240V outlet. No special stations required.
